" I joined UMECO Components 7 years ago as a Sales Executive. In that time I have witnessed tremendous growth and expansion which has given me huge opportunities for personal development moving into Project Management and Business Development roles. The Group now has an established footprint throughout Europe and North America supporting customers such as Boeing and Airbus and has plans to develop further into the Far East and China. UC is an exciting industry leading organisation which I am confident will continue to support my desire for future opportunities and development where I have recently had the opportunity to relocate to Milan, Italy."

I joined Umeco Components as a Bid Team Co-ordinator in 1996, shortly after graduating from Southampton University. In my ten years with the Company, I have progressed to hold numerous managerial positions including Business Analyst, Project Manager and Procurement Manager, in addition to a one year secondment to Los Angeles as US Account Manager.

My current role as Business Development Manager commenced in 2005. During my time with the Company, I have successfully managed key customer accounts, implemented projects and won significant contracts, with our main customers whilst having the opportunity to work in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and USA. With the Company's support, I have also studied part-time for an MBA. I would summarise the Company as a "young, dynamic organisation, where hard-working individuals are given every opportunity to prove their value to the business in an open and honest environment".

UC is an exciting, dynamic and ambitious company to work for and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead for me to progress my career further.

'3½ years ago I joined Pattonair as an Assistant Accountant, since then Pattonair UK has given me the chance to develop my career through progressive roles and now I'm the Pattonair UK Finance Manager. If you have ideas and ability then Pattonair is a company that will utilise those attributes in a challenging environment. More importantly though Pattonair recognises the value of the team; without their willingness and the abilities we realise that as a company and as individuals we can achieve nothing, and I can honestly say that I've never worked with a better group of people. It is for these reasons that I've stayed with Pattonair and see my future development as part of Pattonair's continuing development and success'.

"Joining UMECO Components a few months after graduating from University has proven to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Originally taking on a customer service role as a Supply Chain Manager in Derby, I have now spent 31/2 years with opportunity after opportunity. My current role has taken me to the USA to work on customer development opportunities. In addition to the numerous opportunities for travel and professional growth, the greatest part of working for UC companies has been the leadership and the team environment within each company, it is clear that everyone is working towards the same goals."

"I joined UMECO Components in November 2000 as a Quality Engineer for Ulogistics and have progressed through personal development that has been supported and encouraged by the company to the position of Business Systems Manager. When I joined the company I was looking for a pleasant working atmosphere with a chance of progression in the future, those expectations have been far surpassed during my time at UC and I have no doubt that they will continue to be."

I started at Ulogistics as a Temp on the packing line in Feb 2001, I then moved on to the night shift covering all areas from goods inwards to despatch, and became permanent in the June.

In 2002 I was approached by my manager and asked if I would like to do an NVQ level 2 in Administration, which I then started.

In 2004 I had a promotion to the Inventory Department as an Inventory Co-ordinator, where I gained my NVQ in Administration, NVQ in customer service, first aid certificate, Health and safety certificate and five Key skills. I have also done some company courses e.g. Access introductory, Excel introductory / intermediate and AS/EN9100 foundation course, which allows me to be an auditor.

I joined the works council in 2006 and have since been promoted to Data Co-ordinator.

Working with Ulogistics has been exciting and challenging. There is brilliant opportunity to progress, it's exciting to look back and see where we came from and wonder where we will be in the next 5 years.

I joined Ulogistics in December 2001 in a temporary position in the warehouse. In May 2002 I joined the company permanently as a deputy team leader in the warehouse and then progressed to the despatch department. In September of that year I joined the Purchasing department and am now a team leader where I enjoy the team atmosphere and daily challenges.

In the time I have been with the company I have seen many changes, biggest of which has been the growth and success of Ulogistics. It is a very friendly company in all areas. The senior management are very accessible and approachable.

"Since joining UMECO Components in October of 2004, the company has given me opportunity to progress and advance through out different roles within the organization based in Montreal. Rare are todays corporations who put so much emphasis on helping each individual develop personal skills within a group or team. Umeco Components is a family oriented organisation and this I recognised very early on due to the help and support they have given my family and I in the past year when my spouse gave birth to triplets...this was a challenge for us! Umeco's constant support allows me to manage family and business in an efficient way".
